The company 'KTIRIO PUBLICATIONS' in 1986 published the very first technical and architectural magazine in Greece, entitled 'KTIRIO'. With headquarters in Thessaloniki and distribution offices in Athens, it 'paved the way' for the entry of engineers and architects in the construction sites which greatly contributed to the improvement of the quality of buildings throughout the country. The publications also contributed to the dissemination of technology and modernization of the Greek construction sector.

Define
The Client wanted to develop a virtual exhibition hall where its Clients can promote their products and services via virtual booths. The Client wanted this exhibition to run on a web page, accessible both from desktop and mobile devices, on a virtual 3D space. Moreover, the Client asked for the ability to host virtual, live-streaming events. The system was already implemented using Unity which had poor performance and usability and they were looking for an upgrade, an alternative that would make the system more usable and performant.
Ideate
Using our extended experience in 3D Web Development and 3D tools we analysed the specifications, worked closely with Ktirio Designers to optimise the 3D models and reimplemented the software using more specialised tools for the case, such as three.js. Furthermore, we paid attention to usability and ease of use by optimizing the administrative tools and implementing missing features, such as the virtual event management.
Thrive
The project was delivered perfectly on time and in the highest possible quality fulfilling all user requirements and specifications. The system has already been used for several events while at the same time it hosts a number of exhibitors and visitors all year round.
