Congress Value is a tool for monitoring conference participation. Combined with a barcode or RFID scanner for scanning the participants’ ID tags, Congress Value records the time of entrance and exit of each participant. The software automatically calculates the duration between two subsequent scans and stores information about the total amount of time the participant has spent in various conference rooms. It additionally maintains a log of all scans, presents the data in real-time, and stores it for subsequent analysis.

In more detail, the software’s features include:

• Upon first scanning an ID tag, entrance time is automatically recorded. All subsequent scans are recorded as alternating exit and entrance times. Visual confirmation on success or failure of the barcode recognition is instantly offered on screen during scan time.
• Capabilities of importing participants’ personal details from a simple .csv data file.
• All individual data is available for viewing and manual correction at any time*.
• Custom participant search field to filter by name, last name, email or by scanning ID card.
• Collective entrance and exit times graphically represented for easier visualization*. Additional capabilities of manually correcting the recorded times via the graph.
• Recorded data is simultaneously collected from more than one room and for more than one conference and available for real-time viewing*.
• Participants are able to view their individual times.
• Instant notification and safe data storage in case of network failure. If network functionality is restored during the conference, all data scanned offline is automatically submitted. If network failure is persistent, all data scanned offline can be locally stored in text format and uploaded to the system at any time.

Congress Value was initially deployed during the 4th Panhellenic Congress on Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynecology and during the 5th South East European Congress of Perinatal Medicine, on March 1 – 3, 2013. Margaritidis Audio Visual is the owner and distributor of the software.
