The founders of this extremely promising startup are two brothers from Athens, Konstantinos and Dionysis Asimakopoulos. While the former has many years of experience managing tech projects, the latter boasts 10+ years of experience in the shipping business as a chartering broker. Together they form the ideal team to create FixGuard.
Fixguard is a web information platform for ship owners, brokers, and cargo owners in the shipping industry. It solves the age-old problem of the ship owners and brokers not having enough time and information when they need to verify the credibility of cargo owners prior to closing a risky deal. Fixguard’s innovative method automates this procedure, enabling ship owners and brokers to search, view and evaluate the cross-checked cargo owners’ history and make instant, safe, and informed decisions with the click of a button, while charterers can showcase their credibility.
Our company helped the Fixguard founders implement their idea by analyzing, designing, and developing the full application as well as its public presentation website.
Fixguard is the winner of the Bluegrowth 2016 competition, the first Greek maritime accelerator. Alongside more than 70 Greek startups, Fixguard has also reached semifinals of the MIT Enterprise Forum Startup competition
