j-Congress is a a web-based conference management system. It is a joomla component. The supported levels of access are:

Conference administrator. This access level has the ability to add new conferences to the system, fully control all the other access levels and define the details and parameters of the conference and publish it
Conference secretary: This access level has limited administrative capabilities like registrations management, payments management and abstracts management
Registrant: This access level provides all the necessary functionality to the conference registrants. Registration, abstract(s) submission, hotel accommodation, online payment through Paypal
Company: This access level provides the functionality to companies to register a number of people to conferences and pay for them at any time
Abstract judge: Each time a new abstract comes in the conference’s secretary assigns to the registered conference’s judges the responsibility to evaluate it. Each abstract is assigned to one, two or three judges. The average score defines if the abstract is going to be accepted or not to the conference or not
Tourist agent: The Conference administrator can define to the system a number of tourist agents providing a username and password. All these agents are available for selection at each conference. The tourist agent is responsible for the accommodation and the incentives during the conference

In 2012, the j-congress system has been fully integrated with a custom members system (also developed by e-labs) for the Hellenic Cardiological Society. This integration initiated a new access level the “HCS Member” level which has some benefits compared to the plain registrant access level.
