In 2019, VMware sought a proficient team to transform the front-end development of Tanzu Service Mesh (TSM) and focus on substantial enhancements in code, essential for executing and accommodating the upcoming project's scaling. The mission was to elevate TSM, aligning its front-end quality with VMware's high standards and the product's strategic significance.
Ideate
KMB initiated the transformation by assembling a Team to lead and develop the UI for Tanzu Service Mesh. Starting with the Lead Engineer, we meticulously formed a cohesive unit, handpicking each team member, not just to align with the project's scaling needs but also to complement the existing team's culture, skillset, and formation. Our approach was methodical and strategic, with architectural excellence being at the heart of our effort. We established specific standards and processes on the Development, we adhered to the best practices in Angular and we empowered and automated UI QA.
