Transfers Thessaloniki is a private transfer company based in Thessaloniki, Greece, serving airport pickups, intercity routes and tourist itineraries across Northern Greece for both direct clients and an international network of travel and transfer partners. As the business grew, its daily operations — every reservation, every vehicle, every driver assignment — were still being managed out of an email inbox and coordinated by hand. To scale their service and protect the reliability their reputation is built on, Transfers Thessaloniki needed a single, modern platform to run the entire operation from.

The transfer industry runs on precision: a booking that arrives wrong, late, or twice becomes a passenger left standing at an airport. Yet most operators in the market rely on spreadsheets, shared inboxes and rigid off-the-shelf booking tools that were never designed for how partner reservations actually arrive — as unstructured emails, in dozens of different formats, changing and cancelling at short notice. Transfers Thessaloniki required a platform that breaks away from this model. Beyond a robust reservation and dispatch system, the goal was twofold: to remove manual data entry from the daily workflow entirely, and to deliver a fully custom-built application tailored to the real operational logic of the business.
Ideate
KMB engineered the client's entire operational environment from scratch, bypassing generic booking products to deliver a 100% custom architecture. Our engineering team built a bespoke backend and data model with Node.js, Express, Prisma and PostgreSQL, exposed through a secure, authenticated API. On top of it we developed an intelligent automation layer that reads incoming partner bookings, interprets them, validates them against the company's own business rules, and files them into the platform without human intervention. Our UI/UX team designed an operations-first dashboard in Next.js and TypeScript, where reservations, routes, vehicles and driver assignments are managed in one place — complemented by native calendar integration that keeps the whole team working from a single, always-current schedule.
