The Hellenic Society of Cardiology was established in 1948 and registered with the Athens Civil Courts in 1950. Initially, the founding members were 28, while today the number has risen to approximately 2,200 registered Cardiologists. The objective of the Society is to promote Cardiology and related fields, organize scientific congresses and lectures, and strive for the achievement of optimum scientific and professional working conditions for its members. The Hellenic Veterinary Medical Society is the oldest scientific association in Greece, founded in 1924. Since its foundation until today, the main mission of the Hellenic Veterinary Society is the scientific postgraduate training of Greek veterinarians in all fields of veterinary science.

Define
Our task was to build an online conference management system that would function in perfect synchronization with the existing members management system of the Client.
Ideate
The supported levels of access are: - Conference administrator: This access level can add new conferences to the system, fully control all the other access levels and define the details and parameters of the conference and publish it - Conference secretary: This access level has limited administrative capabilities like registrations management, payments management and abstracts management - Registrant: This access level provides all the necessary functionality to the conference registrants. Registration, abstract(s) submission, hotel accommodation, online payment through PayPal - Company: This access level provides the functionality to companies to register many people for conferences and pay for them at any time - Abstract judge: Each time a new abstract is received, the conference's secretary assigns the registered conference reviewers the responsibility to evaluate it. Each abstract is assigned to one, two or three reviewers. The average score defines if the abstract is going to be accepted or not to the conference - Tourist agent: The Conference Administrator can define multiple Tourist Agents in the system by providing a username and password. All these agents are available for selection at each conference. The Tourist Agent is responsible for accommodation and incentives during the conference
Thrive
In 2012, the j-congress system was fully integrated with a custom members system (also developed by KissMyButton) for the Hellenic Cardiological Society. This integration initiated a new access level, the 'HCS Member' level which has some benefits compared to the plain registrant access level.
